Maybe you want to head right to the top for some skiing pleasures in the glacier skiing area, for a memorable hiking tour or simply to take in jaw-dropping vistas. Set your eyes on the mountain peaks of four countries. The cable car takes you comfortably to the top, where you can visit the Fascination Zugspitze Experiential World, the Snow Crystal World, where you will find facts about all facets of snow. In the Panorama Peak Restaurant you can savour a coffee or refreshment against the majestic backdrop of the mountains and the sky.
Every year a truly unique event takes place in the Tiroler Zugspitze Arena: Mountains on Fire, which was declared immaterial UNESCO World Cultural Heritage. Because when in the evening of the summer solstice the sun goes down and the creative motifs illuminate the mountains, you will experience a really special atmosphere. As words cannot describe it, you should really not miss the event. But also throughout the year the region is venue for a lot of other event highlights, making gourmets, culture vultures and sports fans happy.
You do not have to conquer a summit. A hike to the crystal-clear mountain lake or a traditional hut is a rewarding destination as well.
